Nearly 30 sailors from different nautical clubs in Mallorca and Menorca took part this past weekend, December 20 and 21, in the Advent Race, a regatta organized by the Port Adriano Racing Club with the aim of promoting the Optimist D category, where the youngest sailors take their first steps in the world of sailing, as well as the Optimist Under-11 category.

Even so, thanks to the effort and dedication of the Race Committee, all categories managed to complete a total of three races.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the Advent Race stands out for its focus on fun, learning, and camaraderie among young athletes. For this reason, not only the top finishers were awarded prizes; all participants received a trophy in recognition of their effort and participation.
But that’s not all, the regatta coincided with the official opening of Port Adriano’s Christmas Park. As a result, in addition to experiencing the excitement of competition at sea, the sailors were also able to enjoy the various Christmas activities offered by the marina at this time of year, such as its eco-friendly ice rink, sledding runs, and a comforting cup of hot chocolate.
