At dawn and during the first hours of Friday, west wind will blow with strength in Ibiza and Formentera, where maximum streaks of 70km/h between 12 p.m. and 08:59 a.m. are forecasted. In the coast, wind will reach 50 to 60 km/h (force 7), accompanied by 2 to 3 meters waves.

By the afternoon, between 8 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., the episode will move to the north of the archipelago. The Sierra de Tramuntana, the north and northeast of Mallorca and Menorca will register a northeast wind with up to 70km/h streaks.

Saturday, January 10th, wind will still keep the spotlight. From midnight until 05:59 p.m., up to 70 km/h streaks are expected in the Sierra de Tramontana, the north and the northeast of Mallorca andMenorca, with predominating wind of the west and northwest.

In addition, the maritime gale will remain active all day in these areas. 50 km/h (6 to 7 force) winds are expected, with streaks of up to 70 km/h and 2 to 3 meters waves, so being cautious  in nautical activities and in the exposed coast is advised.

Although the warning level is low, authorities advise ensuring fragile objects that could be moved by the wind, avoiding exposed coastal areas during the peak of the gale and consulting the meteorological evolution before doing any movements or sea activities.
