Ferran Muniesa, former manager of the Club Nàutic s’Arenal, who has recently taken on a new challenge as World Sailing’s Events Director, has been selected as Technical Delegate for the Olympic sailing competition at Los Angeles 2028.

Ferran Muniesa, World Sailing’s Events Director and a professional with extensive experience in competition management, has 17 years of experience in the sector, 10 of which have been as Events Director. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the organization of the Trofeo Princesa Sofía, currently considered one of the most prestigious events in Olympic sailing worldwide.
His career at the Club Nàutic s’Arenal has been long and varied, serving as a sailor, sports director, and general manager, and contributing decisively to its transformation into one of the leading nautical institutions in the Balearic Islands. In recent years, he has been especially involved in the development of sporting activity, event organization, and the promotion of the sailing school and racing team, consolidating the CNA as a prestigious institution at both national and international level.

Ricardo and Ferran will be tasked with ensuring that sailing at the Olympic Games is a fair competition for all athletes, and we can all look forward to excellent sailing in Long Beach and the Port of Los Angeles.”

The Olympic sailing competition at Los Angeles 2028 will take place from July 14th to July 30th, 2028, in the waters off Belmont Shore in Long Beach, the host city of the event, and at the Port of Los Angeles in the host city of Los Angeles.
