Uber will introduce a new tool in its app from June that will allow users to book boats in five Mediterranean countries, including Spain, the ride-hailing company announced at an event held in New York.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The initiative follows a new partnership with Click&Boat, a European boat rental platform, which will provide access to around 50,000 vessels in destinations such as the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera and Italy’s Amalfi Coast, as well as locations in Portugal and Croatia.
The company also announced a collaboration with Expedia Group to offer users in the United States access to accommodation in more than 700,000 destinations worldwide through the app, with Vrbo holiday rentals to be added soon.
Uber has also unveiled an agreement with Accor to strengthen its loyalty programme in Europe and the Middle East. The partnership will allow members to earn ALL Accor points on Uber trips and Uber Eats orders, with additional benefits for Uber One members.
At its New York event, Uber also announced Travel Mode, a new feature designed to make arriving at a destination easier from the moment users land. It will guide them through the airport, help them move around the city more easily and show a selection of recommended places and points of interest.
“The launch of Boats forms part of Uber’s strategy to become the go-to app for travel. With these launches, Uber continues to expand its offering beyond mobility and delivery, integrating transport, accommodation and experiences at sea into a single platform,” the company said.
