The training ship ‘Capitán Miranda’ of the Uruguayan Navy bids farewell today, Friday, June 13th, to Mallorca after docking at the port of Porto Pi.

On the occasion of the visit, the Regional Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, Antònia Maria Estarellas, welcomed the Uruguayan Ambassador to Spain, Ana Teresa Ayala, on June 12 in an official meeting held in Palma. Also in attendance were the Director General of Institutional Relations, Xesca Ramis; the ship’s commander, Andrés Debali; the Consul General of Uruguay in Barcelona, Santiago Vitale; and the Defense Attaché of the Uruguayan Embassy in Spain, Juan Pablo Hernández.
During its stay, the ‘Capitán Miranda’ also hosted an official cocktail reception on board, attended by authorities and institutional representatives, including Ambassador Ayala.
The ship, a symbol of Uruguay’s naval and diplomatic tradition, will set course today for A Coruña as part of a voyage through various international ports aimed at training naval officers.
