The final day featured a 16-mile coastal course between Pollença, Aubarca, and Formentor, with a steady northeast wind of 12–14 knots providing ideal racing conditions.
The fleet started off Pollença, heading toward the Aubarca mark, 7.5 miles away, which included a flying finish that added extra excitement. From there, boats sailed to the Illa de Formentor before turning toward the finish line. The course determined the winners of each category in closely contested races that kept spectators on edge until the end.
In the Clásicos division, the Época Cangreja category (boats launched before 1950 with trapezoidal rig) was won by ‘Endrik’, skippered by Jean Degaudenzi, ahead of ‘Tuiga’ (Yacht Club de Monaco) and ‘Archangelo’, sailed by Ana Martínez Vara de Rey. In Época Bermudian (pre-1950 boats with triangular rig), victory went to ‘Argyll’, skippered by Griff Rhys Jones, followed by ‘Vidi’ (Pablo Riera) and ‘Rubicón’ (Simon Tim). Among the Clásicos, the winner was ‘Clarionet’, skippered by Andrew Harvey, ahead of ‘Rosina di Mare’ (Amador Magraner) and ‘Livia’ (Fundación Vela Clásica de España).
The ORC division, with the largest fleet, provided especially intense racing. Winners included ‘Chispa’ (Philippe Von Stauffenberg) in ORC 1, ‘Silver Fox’ (Pere Antoni Nadal) in ORC 2, ‘Bachibuzuk’ (Pere Antoni Borrás) in ORC 3, and ‘Kresal’ (Andreu Cirerol) in ORC 4. Among them, ‘Silver Fox’ was also crowned overall ORC winner, repeating last year’s success and confirming its dominance in these waters.
In the Flying Fifteen class, which raced windward-leeward courses, victory went to Víctor Pérez and Marc Branagh.
The Trofeo Cormorán concluded with a very positive balance in both participation and competition quality. Pere Antoni Nadal, Vice President of the Reial Club Nàutic del Port de Pollença, highlighted the presence of true maritime heritage gems, such as Tuiga (1909), one of the four surviving boats of the legendary FI 15 class. Excellent weather conditions contributed to a brilliant conclusion of the regatta, which in recent years has brought together historic boats, ORC cruisers, and one-design classes in a single event.
