At a month and a half of its celebration, the regatta organized by Club de Mar-Mallorca reaffirms its role as an indispensable encounter for the lovers of classic sailing.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The XXX edition of the Illes Balears Clàssics Regatta, which will take place from August 13th to 17th, 2025, in Club de Mar-Mallorca, counts with a high level of participation at a month and a half for the beginning of the event with 39 registered cruisers proceeding from 14 countries. The organization, which expects more registries in the following days, celebrates this accomplishment as proof of growth and international recognition of this date with classic sailing in the bay of Palma.
“This year, the club will host for four competition journeys some of the most emblematic vessels of the nautical panorama. The 2025 edition will count with debuts such as the ‘Cariad’, a majestic vessel of 36 metres of length, built in 1896, or the ‘Malamok’, another debutant that swears attracting the sight of the public” has explained the commodore of Club de Mar-Mallorca, Manuel Nadal de Uhler, who has added that “we also have illustrative returns, such as ‘The Lady Anne’, ‘Halloween’ or ‘Manitou’, authentic legends of classic sailing.”
The vessels will compete in the following categories: Clásicos, Época, RI Clásicos, Espíritu de Tradición and Grandes Barcos, in addition to a special section named Presencia, that allows over 50 years vessels to participate in the regatta with no need to compete.
The XXX edition of the regatta is highlighted due to counting with an agenda full of social and cultural activities. In addition to the classic post regatta parties for the crews, an open doors day is celebrated for the civilians and different cultural activities will be offered with the aim to share maritime patrimony.
In this regard, this year’s Illes Balears Clàssics Regatta program will include an exhibition by renowned nautical photographer Nico Martínez, a lecture by ocean navigator Bubi Sansó, and a unique initiative by Leonardo de Vincentiis, who will offer guided tours of the docks, providing live commentary on the history of each vessel.
Established as one of the most prestigious regattas in the Mediterranean, the Illes Balears Clàssics is part of the main international circuits, such as the XV Trofeo Clásicos Mare Nostrum – Spanish Cup for Classic Sailing, the 2025 CIM Circuit (International Mediterranean Championship), and the Mediterranean Champions Cup, organized by the Vintage Classic Yacht Club (VCYC).
The Club de Mar-Mallorca organizes this regatta under the authority of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV), with the collaboration of the Balearic Sailing Federation (FBV), the Royal National Cruising Association (RANC), and the Spanish Association of Vintage and Classic Boats (AEBEC).
With this record participation, the Illes Balears Clàssics reaffirms its role as an essential meeting point for lovers of classic sailing and the preservation of maritime heritage.
