This Friday, May 16th, the ESP MINEX-25 exercise concluded successfully, and both Spanish and foreign vessels that participated in the exercise will dock at the Naval Station of Porto Pi.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!From May 5th to May 16th, the advanced multinational exercise ESP MINEX-25 was conducted in the waters of the Balearic archipelago, involving surface ships, a Navy helicopter, and over 500 personnel from various allied nations, including Belgium, the United States, France, Italy, and Turkey. The submarine “Galerna” and the multipurpose vessel “Carnota” also participated in the preparatory operations.
ESP MINEX-25 is an advanced multinational mine warfare exercise organized and led annually by the Spanish Navy.
The exercise included the participation of NATO’s Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 (SNMCMG-2) and the European Maritime Force (EUROMARFOR). The Commander of the Mine Countermeasures Force, embarked with his Deployable Staff aboard the Offshore Patrol Vessel “Furor”, was the authority in charge of the planning and execution of this multinational exercise.
The Naval Force was equipped with advanced underwater detection systems, specialized mine disposal divers, and various autonomous underwater vehicles that complemented the minehunter capabilities.
The participating units are scheduled to make a port call in Palma on May 16th at the Naval Station of Porto Pi. There, the final meeting to assess the exercise’s objectives will take place, followed by a solemn flag-lowering ceremony at sunset, attended by civilian authorities.
