During Tuesday's session, around 250 attendees—including shipyards, brokers, yacht owners, engineers, suppliers, and tech companies—analyzed the future of the Mediterranean yachting industry from multiple perspectives. The program, which includes presentations, roundtables, and networking spaces, featured as a major innovation the launch of 10 business innovation hackathons, where multidisciplinary teams developed solutions to real challenges in the nautical sector.
The forum is structured around two thematic axes. On Tuesday, April 29, under the theme “THE FUTURE OF MARINAS & OPERATIONS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN,” discussions focused on the evolution of marinas, the impact of nautical migration toward new destinations, and the growth of chartering in the Mediterranean. For today, Wednesday, April 30, the focus is on “THE FUTURE OF REFIT & SERVICE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN,” with exploration into infrastructure investment, the role of subcontractors, and the Mediterranean’s potential to offer cutting-edge technical services to large yachts.
“This project aims to position the Balearic Islands as a leading region in the global superyacht industry,” said Guillermo García, president of the Balearic Marine Cluster during the Forum's opening.
“The forum is conceived as an open platform where everyone is invited to speak, listen, and exchange ideas, regardless of their role, title, or background. We firmly believe the true value of this event lies not only in the quality of the content but in the energy and vision that each of you, as professionals in the sector, brings to the conversation,” he added.
In addition to the technical sessions, the forum offers exclusive networking spaces, a guided visit to the Palma International Boat Show, and a private VIP dinner, reinforcing its role as a key meeting point for decision-making and the creation of new business opportunities.
The Balearic Superyacht Forum 2025 not only looks at the present but also casts a vision toward the future of the sector, promoting sustainability, talent development, and the competitiveness of the Mediterranean nautical ecosystem.
