Ponseti, a Menorcan sailor based in Palma, won the only race held, finishing ahead of his clubmate Marc O’Connor. Third place went to Adolfo Virgili of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante.
Carlos Roselló, from Club Náutico de Ibiza, was the top local performer, finishing in a commendable fifth place, keeping him within reach of the podium heading into the upcoming races.
Today, Friday, May 16, the racing is scheduled to resume at 12:00 PM. The race committee, chaired by Jordi García, aims to complete up to four races depending on weather conditions.
The championship is organized by Club Náutico Ibiza, the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Balearic Federation, and the Spanish ILCA Class Association, with the collaboration of Marina Ibiza, which is hosting a national dinghy sailing championship for the first time in its facilities.
