The competition unfolded over two days in the Bay of Pollença, with notable participation in the five classes called: ORC Cruiser, Wing Foil, Optimist, Optimist D, and ILCA 4. All the light sailing sailors were women, while in the ORC class it was required that a woman be at the helm of the boat. The weather conditions allowed for the completion of two races in ORC and Optimist D, three in Optimist and ILCA 4, and seven in Wing Foil. However, weather instability only allowed for races in the flying board class this Sunday.
The ORC fleet featured a notable representation of local boats, with Lucía Ugarriza, from RCN Port de Pollença, prevailing aboard the "Bachibuzuk 1". In ILCA 4, Laura Fullana, from Nàutic de Portocolom, dominated with a clean sweep of victories (1-1-1). Carmen Adrover, from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, took the victory in the Optimist class with scores of 2-1-2. In the Optimist D category, the winner was Megan Seguí (2-1-1), while in Wing Foil, Neus Pericás, from the host club, came out on top with four firsts, two seconds, and one discardable fourth.
Wind conditions varied throughout the weekend. On Saturday, March 8, the bay provided an ideal setting for sailing, allowing most of the regatta program to be completed. On Sunday, the weather was less favorable, with changes in direction and drops in intensity that only made it viable to hold races in the Wing Foil class.
The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, March 9, at the headquarters of the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença. The event also served to recognize the efforts of all participants and to consolidate the club's commitment to inclusion and equality in the sport of sailing.
