The Palma City Council has announced that it is working on drafting the terms for the new concessions on the municipality's beaches, with less space allocated for sunbeds and umbrellas due to sand erosion.

The local representative argued that this feeling of "greater occupation" is due to the fact that the concessions have been "expired for years," and now the local government is working to update them, especially regarding the coastline because there is "less sand" on the beaches of Palma.
"The City Council is working against the clock to resolve this issue, but there is no alternative to having fewer umbrellas and sunbeds, since these concessions must coexist with people who do not use them, and there must be pathways for transit," she claimed.
