The Nao Victoria Foundation looks for volunteers to sail the world aboard a historical boat

Imagine sailing in front of the Liberty Statue aboard a 17th century galleon. This unique experience will be possible thanks to the Galleon Andalucía, which initiates a new tour throughout the east coast of the United States of America, and now launches its call for international volunteers.

Participants will have the opportunity of traveling freely through iconic cities such as New York, Boston or Miami, while they form part of a crew of one of the major historical replicas of the world. Waking up with the sound of the sea, learning how to set sail, discovering incredible ports and sharing stories from people all over the world will be just a few of the experiences in the day to day aboard.

The Nao Victoria Foundation invites the elderly with an adventurous spirit to join this trip. Previous experience is not required. “What we value the most is excitement, attitude and the urge to live something unique”, affirms the captain of the Galleon Andalucía, Miguel Ángel Cuesta. Having a visa to work in the USA or the American nationality will be an extra point in favor.

While the Galleon Andalucía sails the North American east coast, the ships Nao Victoria, Nao Santa María and Pascual Flores will carry out tours around Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland, visiting great cities and historical ports.

Marina, a volunteer that repeats for a third year, affirms: “I entered the boat without really knowing what I was going to do… And I left with friends from all over the world and memories that I would not change for anything”.
