From today, Friday June 6th, and up until Sunday 8th, the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, compromises the first national title of the J80 monotype class.

Valencia has the 20 best ships of the national overview, and with some favorites to achieve Spain's champion title. The ships are already in the capital of Turia and yesterday they focused on the meditation controls and the reshaping of the ships, some of which have taken advantage of the good wind conditions in Valencia’s Gulf to depart towards the regattas’ area.
Between the 20 present unities, originary from Asturias, Castilla La Mancha, the Balearic Islands, Andalusia, Cantabria and Galicia, in addition to the Valencian Community. Between the possible favorites it is important to highlight the “Noticia” (RCM Santander) led by Luis Martín, who comes from winning the Conde de Godó Trophy with the J70; the boat from Club Marítimo de Mahón, “Les Roches Menorca Team”, of Pepequín Orbaneja and Perer Kirkby; “Solintal” (RCM Santander) of Ignacio Camino; “Kouko” (RC Mediterráneo Málaga) of Dani Cuevas, or the representatives of the Valencian Community: “Dorsia” (RCR Alicante), of Nuria Sánchez or the “Moner Joyeros-ARS Sonum” of Javier Moner and Jorge de la Nuez and the “Solgreen” of Manuel de Tomás, both from the RCN de Valencia, mainly.
The Regattas Committee expects to complete a total of eight races in these three tests. The attention signal is expected at 1 PM in the inaugural act, Friday 6th, while the other two: Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th, the top departure time has been established at 12 M, except for any possible changes.
The wind prospects seem to be really good in Valencia's Gulf, with a “Garbí” for the three tests and an intensity that can go from 8 up to 12-14 knots of intensity.
