The CNI recognizes the achievements of its athletes during the 2024-2025 season in their sports gala

The Club Náutico Ibiza celebrated its 2024–2025 sports gala, an institutional event that reunited athletes, authorities, collaborating companies and members.

The event included acknowledgments, awards ceremony, thanks and a special honoring to an iconic person of the club. The gala will be celebrated in the unmissable setting of the Pereyra Theatre, that conmemorated this way the acts that were being carried out in this same space during the firts years of the foundation of the club.

The ceremony was inaugurated by the soprts director of the Club Náutico Ibiza, who welcomed the assistants and presented an insitutional video that went over the acitivity of the club during the season.

One of the most emotional moments was the act in memory of Joan Riera Villegas, during which he received an ovation to and where images reminding his trajectory and his vincle with the club were projected.

The Club Náutico Ibiza expressed its recognition to some public institutions for its support, amongst them: the Balearic Government, the Insular Council of ibiza, the Town Hall of the city of Ibiza, the Balearics Portuary Authority, Ibiza's and Formentera's Maritime Captaincy, the Sea's Civil Guard, Mairitme Rescue and the Red Cross.

He also thanked the collaboration of federations and associations such as the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Balearic Sailing Federation, the Royal National Association of Cruisers and the Association of Neighbors of Talamanca.

Before proceeding to the awards ceremony, the institutional representatives, Pedro Vidal, counsillor of Culture and Sports of the Balearic Government; Javier Bonet, insular director of Sports of the Insular Council of Ibiza; and Catiana Fuster, tennant-mayoress of the Town Hall of the City of Ibiza, dedicated some praise words to the sports, training and cultural labour developed year after year at the Club Náutico Ibiza.

In the mark of the closure of the centenary of the club, acknowledgments were given to many collaborating companies that actively supported the sports and social activities of the Club Náutico Ibiza. Amongst them there are Armería Balanzat, Banco Sabadell, Buscastell Vins, Hotel Argos, La Sirena, construcciones Metálicas Fita, Náutica Ereso, Yokubo , Náutica Varadero, Jet Service and over forty highlighted entities.

Honorific plates were given to athletes that stood out during the season:

• Carlos Roselló García – Bronze Medal at the ILCA 7 Spain's Championship (2024)
• Alejandro Cardona Riera – Bronze Medal at the Finn class championship (2025)
• “Ses Margalides” crew – runner-ups of the 40th Príncipe de Asturias Trophy (Female Cruisers)
• Carlos Roselló García – Runner-up of ILCA 7 Spain (2025)

The event also included a collection of images with the best moments of the season and the activity of the club.

The gala had a raffle of gifts destined to light sailing sailors and ended with a buffet and a party that reunited all the assistants in a party and celebration ambience.
