The Club Marítimo de Mahón will host the Canoeing Winter Balearics Championship

The event will take place on February 28th and March 1st in the port with a similar format celebrated in 2025 by request of the same clubs after the great lived success.

The waters of the port of Mahón will host once again the Canoeing Winter Balearics Championship, matching with the Balearic Islands Day. The organization of the event will belong to the Club Marítimo de Mahón by explicit request of the clubs of the Balearic Islands after the success experienced in 2025, after the main organizer quit. In the same way as last year, on Saturday, February 28th, it will be the turn for junior, senior and veterans, while the minor categories will compete on Sunday, March 1st.

The Club Marítimo de Mahón will organize an event in which the participation of 400 people amongst athletes and technicians, and which will once again have the old maritime station as operations center. The regattas will take place in front of the maritime station as an operations center. The regatas will take place in front of the portuary facility, offering the possibility to Menorcans of living comfortably in a competition that named the Mahón entity, in 2025, as the Balearic winter champion and that will have, again, an area with stands.

En total serán 16 los clubes que tomarán parte en la competición que tendrá el domingo las categorías prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantil y cadete. Tanto el sábado como el domingo, la competición tendrá lugar de las 12 a las 17 horas, mientras que a partir de las 17 horas, se celebrará la entrega de trofeos. 

In total, it will be 16 the clubs that will take part in the competition which will take place on Sunday. Saturday as well as Sunday, competition will take place from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m., while from 5 p.m., the awards ceremony will take place.
