The 'Boomerang' is crowned overall champion of the 5th Alcudiamar Trophy – Projecte Home Balears

This past weekend, the Bay of Alcudia was once again filled with sailors and solidarity-driven sailboats during the 5th edition of the Alcudiamar Trophy – Projecte Home Balears, an essential event on the nautical and social calendar of northern Mallorca.

With strong participation, the vessel “Boomerang”, helmed by Damià Jaume and Adrià Vallbuena, was crowned overall winner of this fifth edition. Rounding out the podium were “Marball” and “Nereida”, in a regatta once again marked by a strong sporting spirit and an excellent atmosphere among all participants.

This annual event maintains a clear charitable focus, with all proceeds going to Projecte Jove, a program aimed at the prevention, treatment, and support of families and young people in the Balearic Islands dealing with addiction issues.

Additionally, for the third consecutive year, the regatta reinforced its commitment to sustainability by offsetting its carbon footprint. Emissions from the previous edition were compensated through a project focused on replacing fossil fuels with sustainable biofuels.

The event also had a strong family-oriented aspect, with a full schedule of activities designed for all ages. Attendees enjoyed children’s workshops, environmental activities, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the unique experience of following the race from the sea aboard the vessel Anacaona.

MarSenses Hotels & Homes returned as the official sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to the environment and the local community through its “Care by MarSenses” program, which focuses on social and environmental impact initiatives. Noteworthy support also came from Autovidal, which showcased a range of high-end electric vehicles, and other sponsors such as Trablisa, Club de Golf Alcanada, and G Durán, among others who made this charitable event possible.

The awards ceremony was attended by local authorities and representatives of the organizing and collaborating entities, including Antoni Burguera Suñer, Deputy Director of the Fundació per a l’Esport Balear, Francisca Reinés, Manager of Alcudiamar, Antoni Parets, Director of Communications and Projects at Projecte Home Balears, and Joan Mesquida, Creative and Brand Director of MarSenses Hotels & Homes.

With its fifth edition, the Alcudiamar – Projecte Home Balears Trophy not only reaffirms its value as a nautical competition but also as a project that combines sport, social awareness, and environmental respect.
