The first step into the elaboration of the law is a public consultation period of ten days from this Thursday November 27th.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The Government, through the Directorate General of Emergencies and Interior, puts the processing of a new decree of lifeguards' training into force with the goal of regulating, integrating and coordinating the required training to work as an aquatic lifeguard in beaches and natural areas of the Balearic Islands.
This way, an essential, simple and coordinated instrument that is used as referent for development of different activities linked to training and regulated accreditation of staff that lends this service in our beaches and natural swimming areas will be offered.
The law has suffered different modifications during the more of twenty years of validity and currently the normative setting does not adjust to the needs of society. This implies administrative processes that in these moments can be simplified, improving its management.
That's why, the Government, through the Directorate General of Emergencies and Interior, submits the proposal of elaboration of this Decree project that will regulate the training conditions to work as lifeguard in the coast of the islands to previous public consultation.
The period of public consultation lasts ten business days and it starts this Thursday November 27th. The documentation is available in the Transparency Site of the Government. The intention is discovering the opinion of civilians, specially of the most potentially representative subjects and organizations affected by this future law.
This way, the Government pretends not only regulating, but also encourgaing the training of new aquatic lifeguards and recognizing different ways and mechanisms of accreditation. Everything to reduce its shortage and giving an answer to a historical claiming of Town Halls of the Balearics, that are responsible of the presentation of the service in beaches and swimming areas of the archipelago.
