The Balearic nautical sector presents its innovations at Metstrade

Around fifteen nautical companies presen their innovations at the Metstrade fair thanks to an accord between the Government and the National Association of Nautical Companies to boost the internationalization of the sector.

The councillor of Companies, Self-Employed and Energy has visited the event to talk about the importance of the sector in the Balearics inside the international aspect and has been interviewed with different companies.

Amsterdam's fair is considered as the most important commercial event dedicated to the nautical event of the world, and it gathers 20.000 professionals in three days.

Around fifteen companies of the Balearic have had the opportunity of presenting their innovations at the most important nautical fair on a global scope, Metstrade, which is taking place this week at Amsterdam. This actions has been possible thanks to an accord between the Counselling of Company, Self-employed and Market, through the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADRBalears), and the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), through which the companies of the Balearic Islands have had a sàce at ANEN's stand to present products, keep meetings and establish new acquaintances without the need to rent their own stand.

The objective of this accord is contributing to internationzalition of the nautical sector of the Balearics, considered as strategic for the Balearic economy. In addition, it also boosts the strenght of the business network and boosts innovation in companies. It is an action that increases the visibility of all the companies that take part in this fair.

The councillor of Company, Self-Employed and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, has visited Metstrade to be interviewed with different Balearic companies at the fair, and with managers of the IFBSO e ICOMIA organizations which take a good part of the fairs and nautical fairs, to study possible sinergies with the Palma International Boat Show, the nautical event of Palma. In addition, he has talked about the importance of the nautical sector of the Balearic Islands inside the international area in a talk organized at ANEN's stand, in the Hall 1, one of the most crowded areas.

Amongst the companies that have presented products at Metstrade, at ANEN's stand, there's equipment, repair and maintenance, engines and generators' and crew hiring companies, in addition to design and naval architecture ones. Supermercado Náutico, Viamar, Dahlberg, OS Safety Equipment, Seateach, Waterline, Metalnox, Bravo Yacht Design, Astilleros de Mallorca, Akupalma, Nautipaints, Marine Point and Warren Maritime have assisted.

In addition, the stand has served as an encounter spot for all the companies in the islands that have visited Metstrade, where there have been meetings and there have been new professional contatcs stablished.

The Metstrade fair ends tommorrow at the facility of the RAI at Amsterdam. It is considered as the most important professional event for the international sector, and it reunites over 1.700 stands. Last editions have had over 20.000 visitors.
