The event brought together dozens of companies, training institutions, and regional organizations, all united by a common goal: to reinforce the regional strategy for attracting, training, and retaining qualified talent.
The event, organized with CliQIB, ADR Balears, and the Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, featured Balearic Marine Cluster playing a leading role in shaping the content and sectoral focus of one of the main roundtables, which addressed business talent needs.
The opening speech was delivered by Alfons Gómez, Director General of Industry and Industrial Parks, and included an inspiring keynote by Francisco Loscos, an ESADE professor specializing in people management.
The morning included two roundtable discussions. The first focused on training and educational resources in the Balearic Islands and featured representatives from SOIB (Balearic Islands Employment Service), FUEIB (University-Enterprise Foundation of the Balearic Islands), the S’Algar Training Center, and the company Hotecma.
The second roundtable, titled "Business Talent Needs", was moderated by Pedro Suasi, manager of Balearic Marine Cluster, and featured representatives from companies such as Nautipaints, Baltic Yachts, Ecoquímic Balear, and Vectobal. The panel discussed the practical challenges of attracting talent in specialized sectors.
“Talent isn’t drawn in just by job offers; it’s attracted by vision, purpose, and commitment to training. At Balearic Marine Cluster, we work every day to ensure that nautical companies receive the support they need to professionalize their teams and grow sustainably,” stated Suasi. He also added, “The cluster actively collaborates with companies and training centers to identify real needs, design joint solutions, and help retain talent in the region.”
The conference also included a hands-on workshop on talent management led by psychologist and consultant Ana Laura Martínez, designed to provide companies with concrete tools to improve their recruitment, development, and retention processes.
Beyond its technical content, the event served as a space for networking and cross-sector exchange, fostering new connections among companies, educational institutions, and public organizations.
