The event, which will be held on June 6th, 7th and 8th in the port of Mahón and will qualify for the 2025 Spanish Cruising Championship (RFEV), will feature 17 participants from outside the island.

This is a key event for sailing enthusiasts in the Balearic Islands, as it not only determines the regional champion but also serves as a scoring event for the 2025 Spanish Cruiser Championship (RFEV). The event is sponsored by the Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca, along with the Menorca's Insular Council, Mahón's City Council, and the Balearic Port Authority.
The competition, which includes one coastal race and two windward/leeward races organized by the Club Marítimo de Mahón, has attracted ORC cruiser sailors from three of the four Balearic Islands. In addition to local participants from Menorca, boats from Mallorca and Ibiza will also compete. In total, 17 boats from outside Menorca are registered, representing ten different sailing clubs from across the Balearic Islands.
Furthermore, this Balearic Championship will mark the beginning of an outstanding trilogy of international sailing competitions, continuing in June with a new edition of the Menorca Sant Joan Regatta and concluding in August with the Vela Clásica Menorca – XXI Copa del Rey de Barcos de Época. Additionally, the Club Marítimo de Mahón will host the Balearic Snipe Championship on June 14th and 15th, a preview event ahead of the Snipe World Championship it will host and organize in September, 2026.
This event in Mahón also serves as a qualifying regatta for the Spanish Championship, alongside the 54th SAR Princess Sofia Trophy for Cruisers and the 15th Interclubs Trophy held by Club Nàutic Colònia Sant Pere.
