The 'Adrenalín' is crowned champion of the 27th Copa del Canal

The boat has led the general qualifying and the one of the ORC 3 and 4 class. The departure took place the day before yesterday in Denia and yesterday, November 2nd, the awards were handed at the CNSA.

The ship 'Adrenalín', from the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and with Juan Carlos Sanchís at the helm, was crowned winner of the 27th edition of the Copa del Canal, which unites Denia with the bay of Portmany and that has taken place this weekend. Juan Carlos Sanchís has been accompanied by his usual team, formed by Damián Peris, Juan Colomar, Albert Solé and Ramón Calviño. 

The ship has led the overall qualifying and, in addition, has been the first one of its category (ORC 3 and 4 classes), in front of 'Mar Menor', from the Club Náutico Torrevieja, and of the 'Reve d'O', from the Real Club Náutico Denia. In the ORC 1 and 2 the winner has been ‘Crosswind’, of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, followed by 'Oui', of the same entity, and ‘Sisters III’, of the Real Club Náutico de Gandía. 

In this edition a total of 15 boats of the Balearic and the Valencian Community, which took off from the port of Denia on Saturday, Novemeber 1st, at midday, with a delay of two hours due to the lack of wind, have participated. Finally, in the departure, a 4-knots north wind was registered, which shifted into a southeast one, allowing the participating ships to gain speed, with 8-knots medium the ones with the major lenght and of 6 the smallest ones. 

The ceremony awards and the closure lunch has been celebrated in the facilities of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, with the presence of the participating crews, authorities and representatives of both organizing clubs. The event has been presided by the sports directors of both clubs: Enrique Más on the CNSA's behalf and Enérgico  Carrasco, from the Real Club Náutico Dénia. Both have highlighted the excellent sportive level, the effort of the crews and the good harmony between both clubs.
