The 2025 Silk Route is cancelled due to the Alice cut-off low

The warning from AEMET, in Valencia as well as in Ibiza, have obliged the fleet to stay in land without being able to carry out the journey that was planned for today, October 9th, from RCN de Valencia with arrival to Es Nàutic.

The 2025 Silk Route stays blank, for now. Meteorology has played against the near-30 boats fleet that today was going to take off from the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, with Es Nàutic as the finish line and port of the party that was programmed for this Saturday.

The meteorological reports at the beginning of this week already showed certain complications. Conditions that have worsened to the of AEMET sending out a special heavy and persistent rains warning in Valencia, Murcia, Ibiza and Formentera. The Emergencies Coordination Center of the Generalitat has activated the orange level alert for the Alice cut-off low.

The Organizing Committee of the Silk’s Route has declared that: “Our priority is everyone’s safety. Even though the decision has not been easy, the meteorological forecast does not allow carrying out the journey to Es Nàutic with the necessary guarantees”. Now staff is working to find a new date to celebrate this journey, if possible, since the calendar for ORC cruisers of the RCN Valencia to reach Es Nàutic is already closed.
