YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The Club Nàutic Sant Antoni has made the decision of postponing the 1st Young Promises Balearic Cup, which was meant to take place this Saturday, February 7th, in the bay of Portmany. The competition is postponed to March 21st due to the negative meteorological forecast and will take place in the new circuit that will be installed in the deck of the port, by the breakwater, instead of the beach of s'Arenal, where this kind of competitions have been taking place these last years.
For this Saturday we can expect the participation of 150 up to 175 paddlers of clubs from all over the archipelago, 40 of them of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, belonging to categories that go from prebenjamine to cadet. The new programmed scenery will allow avoiding lateral winds that register in the beach of s’Arenal and that mean an added difficulty for competitors.
The new location also improves logistics, since participants will departure from CNSA, being able to use dressing rooms, services and other facilities. However, it implies the creation of maritime exclusion areas in the polygon located between the platform on which the maritime station is seated and the center of the port, at the height of the decks that close the facilities of the club on the east side. Between 10 and 16 hours, this area will be affected by blinking restrictions of maritime traffic and the gas station of the CNSA will remain closed.
The goal of this change is improving the quality of the event, which will be developed within the safety plan coordinated with Ports IB, directing all its logistic part from the captaincy area of the club. If the experience with the new circuit is satisfying, the CNSA is planning to celebrate the next programmed competitions of the calendar in the same area, since in addition it offers different spots for the public to contemplate the competition with a major proximity.
