The regatta, organised under the umbrella of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, will be contested in a single-fleet format, with a maximum of nine races scheduled over the three days of competition. On the final day, the warning signal will not be given later than 4:00 p.m.
On the water, the Spanish Cup features broad representation from national youth sailing, with crews competing in the overall, mixed, men’s and women’s categories, as well as in the youth under-19 and under-17 divisions and the children’s under-15 category. This reinforces the training-focused nature of one of the strategic classes in the development of sailors.
Among those entered are teams from some of the leading clubs and high-performance programmes on the national scene, including Club Nàutic El Balís, the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Club Náutico Puerto Sherry, the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, the Real Club Náutico de Palma and Club Nàutic s’Arenal itself.
The defending champions, Pedro Sotomayor and Quim Serra of RCN Barcelona, winners in 2025 in the waters of El Puerto de Santa María, will also be taking part.
