The event, now one of the most anticipated on the industry calendar, raised funds for social and environmental projects supported by the organization, which was created by and for superyacht professionals of the world.
The program included the already established Superyacht Charities Golf Event at Golf Son Quint, a brunch with views of the Cathedral on the Gálibos terrace at Astilleros de Mallorca and an exciting team karting competition at the Magaluf circuit. Three distinct events united by a single purpose: strengthening the nautical community and giving back to society a part of what the sea provides.
Sometimes the best way to reinforce bonds among maritime professionals is to step off the pontoons and change the environment, embracing the silence of the green or the roar of the karts, and dedicate time to something that goes beyond work: solidarity. In this spirit, the superyacht community in the Balearics once again demonstrated its ability to combine commitment and camaraderie by participating in a purpose-driven initiative organized by Superyacht Charities, aimed at raising funds for charitable causes that truly matter.
On this occasion, the event’s proceeds will be destined to Yachting Gives Back, a Palma-based charity that mobilizes the nautical community, yacht crews, maritime service companies, and industry professionals to alleviate poverty and hunger on the island. By collecting non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing, and other useful items, Yachting Gives Back collaborates with soup kitchens, food banks, shelters, and local associations to distribute resources to the most vulnerable groups.
The initiative kicked off on Thursday, October 9th, at Golf Son Quint, where nearly a hundred industry professionals, including captains, service companies, shipyards, and suppliers, took part in the Superyacht Charities Golf Event. The day combined friendly competition with a charitable spirit: teams of two played the course with laughter, jokes, and healthy rivalry, enjoying refreshment stations, a buggy with drinks, and plenty of fun.
The following day, the activities moved to the heart of Palma Port. On the Gálibos terrace at Astilleros de Mallorca, participants gathered for an informal brunch with views of the Cathedral, enjoying good music, coffee, and conversations that blended professional with the personal matters. The meeting became a relaxed networking space where attendees could share experiences, make new connections, and strengthen ties. A day that showed how solidarity can also be the best common ground to unite the nautical community.
The energy of the event continued on Sunday with a team karting competition at Magaluf’s circuit, where participants swapped the helm for the steering wheel and enjoyed a race full of adrenaline, laughter, and camaraderie. Beyond the results, the event achieved its main purpose once again: bringing together the Balearic nautical sector around a charitable cause, proving that competitiveness and collaboration can go hand in hand when the goal is to help others.
