This way, Varadero Valencia participates once more as a sponsor of the regatta, with a special implication in ORC 1 class, one of the most challenging and exciting classes of the Trophy.
For this edition, over 140 cruisers are expected to be divided in eight ORC classes and J80 monotypes. The competition began last June 27th, with an offshore regatta, and on this week, from July, Friday 4th to Sunday 6th, the windward-leward journeys will be carried out.
Of the 140 cruises that are registered, 7 are from the following Balearic nautical clubs: Club Náutico de Ibiza, Real Club Náutico de Palma, Club Nàutic s’Arenal, el Club Marítimo de Mahón and Club Nàutic Sant Antoni.
In addition, the crews will face this regatta as the last test that qualifies for the Mediterranean circuit, formed also by the Palma Vela, celebrated in May, and Conde de Godó Trophy, celebrated in June.
Also, the current meteorological forecast shows good winds and a more enjoyable climate after the harsh heat wave of these last days
