The installed system is permanent, although during the winter the three recirculation pumps will be removed.
The Councilor for the Environment, Antoni Nicolau, highlighted that: "With this installation, we aim to provide a long-term solution that required planning, coordination with other administrations, and a lot of technical work behind it. This end-of-season period will be used to adjust the system, and from 2026, the results will be visible to everyone."
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Andratx, Estefania Gonzalvo, added: “This project demonstrates that this government team delivers. We do not resign ourselves to the municipality’s chronic problems; we face them seriously and with real solutions. We have led a complex but necessary project because we firmly believe that Andratx deserves first-class beaches, both for residents and for visitors.”
