On Wednesday, May 21st, the President of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens, visited the headquarters of the Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP) of the Balearic Employment Service (SOIB), Centre de la Mar, located in Mahón.

The president toured the center’s classrooms and workshops, where vocational training and the intermediate-level program in Nautical Vessels are offered, along with other maritime merchant-related courses.
After the tour, Prohens emphasized that the center is a national benchmark in the nautical sector. "We reaffirm our commitment to vocational training, and for that reason, we will expand the center by constructing a new building, which will allow us to broaden the training programs and offer new qualifications, such as the boat skipper certification," she stated.
Also present at the visit were the Director of SOIB, Mari Luz Moreno; the Director of the Centre de la Mar, Joan Laureà Florit; and the Regional Secretary for Educational Development, Mateu Suñer.
