Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB) has approved the start of the bidding process for the new contract covering the conservation and maintenance of buildings, services, and facilities in the directly managed ports of the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, and Eivissa.

The contract, which will be processed through an open procedure subject to harmonized regulation, has a budget of €3,050,093.77 (VAT included) for the first two years (2025 and 2026), financed by PortsIB’s own funds.

This initiative aims to ensure the proper conservation status and optimal performance of all port infrastructures and services. It includes the drafting of maintenance plans, updating the existing inventory, and carrying out conductive, preventive, predictive, regulatory, corrective, and modification maintenance actions.

The contract is divided into three lots, one per island:

Lot 1 – Mallorca: Ports of Andratx, Sóller, Pollença, Cala Rajada, Cala Bona, Porto Cristo, Portocolom, Cala Figuera, Porto Petro, and Colònia de Sant Jordi. It also includes the secondary facilities of Sant Elm, Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Sa Calobra, Formentor, Es Barcarés, S’Oberta, S’Estany des Coto, and S’Estanyol, as well as the central offices of PortsIB and the branch on Cardenal Rossell Street in Palma.

Lot 2 – Menorca: Ports of Ciutadella (inner and outer) and Fornells.

Lot 3 – Ibiza: Port of Sant Antoni de Portmany and the secondary facility of Santa Eulària des Riu.

Through this initiative, PortsIB reinforces its commitment to the efficient maintenance of port infrastructures and the delivery of high-quality services across the islands.
