PortsIB enables 23 temporary moorings in Sant Antoni de Portmany’s H dock

PortsIB has executed some very basic works to enable temporary moorings for recreational boats, with an investment of € 232.318,79 (VAT included).

The Government, through Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), has carried out works of retrofit of the H dock of the Club Náutico de Sant Antoni de Portmany, in Ibiza, with the objective of putting into service, provisionally, 23 new moorings destined to recreational boats. 

This work, which has had a budget of € 232.318,79 (VAT included) and has been carried out by the adjudicating company Hermanos Parrot, S.A., has been developed in the exterior area of the second path of the H dock, adjacent to the commercial quay. This space has a length of 113,80 metres and 4 metres of width, which add a surface of 455,20 m² of PortsIB titularity.

To make the use of these new moorings possible, essential elements have been installed: the mooring train, the mooring and defense systems, service turrets for water and electricity supply, as well as a video vigilance system.

It is important to point out that this new space has a temporary and particular use nature, as long as it’s not necessary assigning it to another urgent use.

With this performance, the Balearic Islands Government focuses on updating and conserving the portuary infrastructures.
