Porto Cristo starts the renovation of the dock and the promenade of Cap des Toll

The works, with a budget of 1.1 millions of euros and a period of 8 months, will start next month.

Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), dependent organism of the Sea and Water Cycle Counselling, has assigned the contract for the execution of the project of rehabilitation of the dock and paving of the promenade of Cap des Toll in the port of Porto Cristo, for a total import of € 1.106.824,89 (IVA included).

Inside the total assigned import, € 1.091.372,41 will be destined to the execution of the world and € 15.452,48 to the management of waste. With an execution period of eight months and the start expected for this October, the project will suppose a key performance to update and adapt one of the most busy areas of the port, improving safety, accessibility, and quality of the offered services. 

The works include the rehabilitation of the dock and the paving of the promenade, the renovation of services and canalizations, the improvement of the accessibility and the security of space, as well as the management of waste that comes from the works. The renovation of the sanitation network and the telecommunications canalization, currently aerial, for its tunneling, are also taken into account.

With this adjudication, the Sea and Water Cycle Counselling focuses on updating and conservation of the portuary infrastructures.
