Once the Christmas holidays have ended, Port Adriano reaffirms its commitment to cultural engagement throughout the year by reviving one of its most established initiatives: the Port Adriano Photography Contest, now in its seventh edition.
DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The competition, which year after year has expanded its reach both within and beyond Mallorca, attracted nearly 1,000 participants in the previous edition from Spain and abroad, consolidating its position as a benchmark event in the photographic field.
This year’s chosen theme is “Wabi-sabi,” a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that focuses on the beauty of imperfection, simplicity, and the ephemeral nature of things. An abstract yet accessible concept, it invites participants to explore new perspectives and reinterpret the world around them from a creative and personal viewpoint, resulting in a wide variety of proposals.
The location of the photographs is completely open. The contest will distribute €3,000 in prizes, and the submission period will remain open until March 30th, 2026. Participation is free of charge, and each photographer may submit up to a maximum of three images, provided they meet minimum quality requirements.
The jury will be made up of Port Adriano’s management, representatives of collaborating entities, the EDIB School, Foto Ruano and Photopills, as well as professionals from the photographic and artistic fields. This committee will be responsible for selecting the winning works and awarding particularly noteworthy prizes for a contest of this kind.
Three prizes of €1,000 each will be awarded to the three finalist photographs. In addition, each winner will receive a Photopills installation license, and a training course taught by the EDIB School will also be awarded.
The 20 finalist and winning photographs will be published on the contest’s microsite within the Port Adriano website.
