Inside its complete sustainability plan, which implies all areas of the marina, Port Adriano takes one more step to fulfill all the decarbonization objectives of the nautical sector. Recently, in addition to installing marine structures that regenerate marine life (Ecostructures), of acquiring electrical vehicles for the intern fleet or installing a charging facility for boats, the last work has consisted in the renovation of a zero emissions motor vessel.

It is an 8 meter length aluminium catamaran-platform that was originally propelled by 2 diesel engines. These engines have just been replaced by 2 electrical devices, fed by solar panels, with which it has been transformed into a non-polluting ship.

The objective of the ships is the users transport between the interior and exterior dock of the marina, contributing to the flux of people throughout the different parts of the facilities and turning, at the same time, into something more attractive to visit the port. It is also used in events that take place at the marina.

Port Adriano’s E-shuttle boat is a unique prototype, designed and built in the year 2014 for the company Ocibar, S.A., the port's manager.

This reconversion has been funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
