Last Saturday, February 7th, the beach of Cala Major turned into the epicenter of surf in Mallorca with the celebration of the fourth edition of the Calama Surf Contest.

The event has male surf, female surf, bodyboard and junior category tests, with different levels surfers. The races will be developed throughout the day with a dynamic format, adapting it to each category, and with very demanding finals that mantained the emotion until the last moment.
Regarding the results, Xavi Chey was crowned winner of the male surf category, while Zoe Fernández won in female surf. In the junior category, the triumph was for Ciro, and in bodyboard the winner was Philip Álvaro.
The competition was supervised by a first level jury, formed by Mike Rainbou, Alex Mairats, Yannick Kwik and Toni Hita, guaranteeing a high technical standard in valuating.
After the competition, the awards ceremony took place at the beach and, in the afternoon, the event continued with an official afterparty at Sótano Club Palma, with Safari Mallorca and Pucheros Atómicos, where music and party ambience added the final touch to the session.
With this fourth edition, the Calama Surf Contest is consolidated as one of the essential dates of the sports and social calendar of Palma, reaffirming Cala Major as one of the surf reference points in Mallorca.
