Mediterranean Superyacht Forum 2026

Palma, the world capital of yachting with the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum

14th April 2026 by Agencies

Palma will host a new edition of the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum 2026 (MSF26) on April 28th and 29th, an event promoted by the Balearic Marine Cluster that will turn the Balearic Islands into one of the major centres for debate in the international yachting industry.

The forum was created with the aim of analysing the main challenges and opportunities facing the superyacht sector in the Mediterranean, a region considered strategic because of its intense activity, its strong network of marinas, its specialised services, and its leading role in the global market.

Holding the forum in Palma reinforces the importance of the Balearic Islands as a key hub for the yachting industry, not only because of their privileged geographical location, but also because of their well-established business ecosystem linked to refit, port management, maritime operations, and high value-added services. At a decisive moment for the competitiveness of the Mediterranean as an international superyacht hub, the archipelago is placing itself at the centre of a conversation that aims to move from diagnosis to action.

One of the forum’s main themes will be the fragmentation that the sector still faces: scattered conversations, misaligned priorities, and a persistent gap between strategic vision and operational reality. According to the organisers, the sector is well aware of the challenges it faces, from infrastructure saturation and the complexity of refit to regulatory uncertainty, sustainability demands, digitalisation, and the shortage of talent, but it needs greater coordination in order to move forward together.

With this objective, the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum aims to be more than a conventional conference. Far from a format focused solely on keynote speeches or closed panels, MSF26 will feature participatory sessions, working groups, think tanks, live debates, hackathons, and case studies, with the intention of encouraging real collaboration between professionals from different areas of the yachting ecosystem.

The programme has been designed following an extensive listening process involving key players in the sector, carried out at international events such as the Monaco Yacht Show and Metstrade, as well as through interdisciplinary working groups made up of experts in refit, marinas, operations, and regulatory and tax frameworks. From this process come the main thematic lines of this year’s edition, focused on issues such as sustainability, infrastructure, talent, digitalisation, regulation, and brand positioning.

In addition, the organisers emphasise that the forum is not limited to the two days of meetings in Palma, but forms part of an ecosystem of continuous work. The conclusions drawn from the sessions will later be turned into analysis papers, follow-up groups, and ongoing initiatives, with the aim of ensuring that the debate continues throughout the year.

In this sense, the event further strengthens the international profile of the Balearic Islands as a territory linked to innovation, operational excellence, and strategic thinking within the yachting industry. Palma will not only host the event, but will also serve as a showcase for the role the archipelago plays in the evolution of the superyacht sector in the Mediterranean.
