YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!It starts in collaboration with the school S’Algar, the new Rigging and Sail training course, a specialty that reinforces Balearic Marine Cluster’s focus on boosting vocational training and employability in the sailing field of the Balearic Islands. The program offers students specialized preparation in a key job, combining theory and practice in cutting-edge companies of the rigging, sails and nautical tapestry field.
With this new edition, the Cluster amplifies its dual vocational training offer, which already includes painting, mechanics and electronics, fibers and carpentry courses, and which currently has 95 students in vocational training and over 300 people trained since its launch.
The beginning of this edition has had the presence of Balearic Marine Cluster’s manager and companies such as The Rigging Point and Revival, that have accompanied students on their first vocational training day.
The 25 students start now a key period in which they will be trained in a highly specialized profession, essential for confection, management and repair of sails and rigging in yachts and superyachts. With this training, students acquire necessary tools to develop a professional career in a field that demands more qualified profiles.
The launching of this course reaffirms Balearic Marine Cluster’s commitment to dual training as a way to train new professional generations, guaranteeing generational relay and consolidating the future of Balearic sailing as a strategic employment and economic development engine.
