With the aim of enhancing swimmer safety and improving working conditions for lifeguard personnel during the high season, the Town Hall of Sant Joan, Ibiza, has acquired new rigid rescue boards (type LFG) for a total cost of €6,134.70.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!These new units have already been distributed among the various lifeguard stations on the beaches of Portinatx, Benirràs, and Port de Sant Miquel, where the lifeguards have received the necessary training for their use. The boards are specifically designed to facilitate quick interventions in hard-to-reach areas, thereby increasing efficiency in emergency situations.
Carmen Rodríguez Tur, Councillor for Tourism, Beaches, Festivals and Youth, highlighted the importance of this improvement:
"These new boards will help lifeguards carry out their tasks more efficiently. From the Town Hall, we remain committed to ensuring the safety of all beachgoers by providing high-quality technical and human resources."
The Town Council has also issued a reminder to the public to always follow lifeguard instructions and respect sea condition flags and signage, stressing that prevention and shared responsibility are key to enjoying a safe summer.
