The Ministry’s dedicated space, made up of two information tents, saw a steady flow of visitors interested in learning about the work carried out by PortsIB in managing regional ports, as well as the initiatives it promotes in sustainability, safety and coastal development. The new edition of Blue Week also generated notable interest among families and educational centers.

Sailing demonstrations on the lake at Parc de la Mar, organized in collaboration with the Balearic Sailing Federation, attracted strong participation. Throughout Saturday, Sunday and Monday, many children had the opportunity to experience sailing firsthand in a safe environment supervised by specialized instructors, turning the lake into a lively space for learning and discovery.

The children’s educational fishing workshop and environmental awareness activity, held in the Domo tent, also drew a large number of participants. Through simulated fishing activities and explanations about Mediterranean species and the issue of marine waste, attendees learned in an engaging way about the importance of protecting the marine environment and keeping ports and beaches clean.

In addition, the Maritime Museum of Mallorca organized workshops, lectures, guided tours and traditional llaüt boat demonstrations at Ses Voltes and Parc de la Mar, bringing the islands’ maritime heritage and traditions closer to the public.

With this strong turnout, the Ministry reinforces its commitment to environmental awareness, the promotion of nautical sports and the consolidation of the Day of the Balearic Islands as a meeting point between the administration and citizens.
