The Club Nàutic Sant Antoni team earned a commendable 7th place in the ORC 3 class, showcasing the boat’s potential following recent upgrades and the solid work put in by the team.
On the final day, two races were held with winds approaching 25 knots, where they secured two sixth-place finishes. The crew consisted of eight athletes: Jaume Llorens, Javier Marí, Leo Gonzato, Julia Ramón, Alejandra Lloyd, and Adrián Tempera, along with their coaches, Felipe Cornet and Javier Rabelo. Their next event will be the Trofeo de Vela Conde de Godó 2025, a qualifying race for both the Spanish and Catalan Offshore A2 Championships. It will take place in Barcelona from May 29 to June 1.
It’s worth noting that the Nàutic Café del Mar has undergone significant modifications, based on a study by Galician naval engineer Javier Cela—a well-known expert in fine-tuning racing yachts for major sailing events such as the America’s Cup. Key improvements included increased ballast located in the bilge and a reduced draft by adjusting the keel. These upgrades were completed this winter at the Club’s boatyard and were made possible thanks to the support of the boat’s sponsors: Café del Mar, Neobookings, Rumbo Norte, and Grupo Llorca.
