The competition for the Optimist and ILCA 4 classes took place from Saturday, May 17th, inside the port, to Sunday, 18th, out of Mahon’s bay.

The event, which hosted more than 70 participants from Optimist and ILCA 4, was celebrated between Saturday, inside Mahón’s port, due to the wind, and Sunday, taking place at the mouth. The absolute victors were Pablo Pardo, from Club Marítimo de Mahón, and Marta Vergés, from Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, in Optimist, and Diego Spinardi, from Club Nàutic Ciutadella, and Joana Pérez, from Club Marítimo de Mahón, in ILCA 4.
The event, which relied on ice creams from La Menorquina to sweeten the competition’s two races, had a total of 6 tests, which were carried out with conditions that improved throughout the weekend.
In Optimist Pablo Pardo, finished at the top of the general with 16 points, after the discard, followed by the first female Marta Vergés, with 17 points. The podium was completed by Diego Muñoz, from Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, with 18 points. The female category was completed by Carme Adrover, from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, with 30 points, and Lola Bordoy, from Club Nàutic Portocolom, with 88.
In ILCA 4 the winner was Diego Spinardi, with 7 points, followed by Oliver Riera, fromClub Marítimo de Mahón, with 14 points, and de Alejandro Vidal, with 16 points. In the female category, victory for Joana Pérez with 34 points, followed by Sofía Calafat, from Club Nàutic Ciutadella, with 49, and Valentina Vidal, from Club Marítimo de Mahón, with 54.
In Optimist D only 3 races took place and the male podium was formed by Biel Oliveras, from Club Nàutic Ràpita, with 4 points, Romeo Pons and Fernando Morlà, both from Club Marítimo de Mahón and with 6 and 14 points, respectively, while in the female category the victory was for Luce Martín, from Club Marítimo de Mahón, with 12 points, accompanied on the podium by the sailors from Club Nàutic de Ciutadella, Laia Díaz and Aura López, with 27 and 39 points, respectively.
