The Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja is entering the final stages of preparation for what is considered one of the major celebrations of youth sailing. The Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja reaches its 18th edition this year, and for this reason both the club and its main sponsor, Euromarina, have made a special effort to deliver an outstanding event.

The regatta, scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 1, has reached the maximum limit of 400 sailors, 26 of whom come from Balearic sailing clubs. With just over 30 days remaining before the official closing of entries, the Organizing Committee has already reached the maximum number of participants. The event will feature a fleet representing 27 countries from all five continents, showcasing an exceptionally high level among the young sailors.

The regatta will include two particularly noteworthy elements. One has become a hallmark of the Torrevieja event: the traditional Welcome Party, which includes the presentation of all participating countries and Spanish Autonomous Communities, followed by a barbecue for all competitors.

For this new edition of youth sailing in Torrevieja, the Organizing Committee, in collaboration with Trac-Trac, will provide live tracking of the fleet throughout the four days of racing. The tracking system will cover all 400 boats expected on the starting line on January 29, the first day of the qualifying series, which will continue on January 30. The final series is scheduled for January 31st and February 1st.

In addition, as part of the social events program, following the trophy ceremony on February 1 and the traditional prize draw, the Organizing Committee will host an afternoon snack with hot chocolate for all attendees.

The Organizing Committee continues to work intensively to finalize the remaining details, ensuring everything is ready to welcome the international Optimist fleet, an event that will once again place the city of Torrevieja on the map as a key hub of international sailing.
