Marina Ibiza strengthens social commitment, supports the ‘Sea of Possibilities’ project

Marina Ibiza attended the presentation of the 2025 season of Un Mar de Posibilidades (A Sea of Possibilities), a non-profit organization that has been developing therapeutic, educational, and inclusive programs in the marine environment for over two decades. The organization promotes access to the sea for people with functional diversity, vulnerable groups, and at-risk youth.

The event took place at the Can Ventosa Library and brought together institutions, collaborators, and organizations involved in the project, in an atmosphere filled with emotion and enthusiasm for what lies ahead.

This year, Marina Ibiza joins as an official sponsor of the program, with significant financial support that will allow the continuation of transformative experiences for those who need them most.

With this initiative, the marina strengthens its commitment to social responsibility by supporting projects that generate a positive and lasting impact on the local community.

Un Mar de Posibilidades was founded in 2004 in Ibiza with the intention of using the marine environment as a therapeutic, educational, and socially inclusive space. Its team is made up of professionals in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social education, adaptive sports, and diving.

Throughout the year, the association carries out various intervention programs from boats, adapted water activities, therapeutic diving, marine environmental education, and training in social and job skills. All of these activities are aimed at people with physical, intellectual, or sensory disabilities; elderly individuals; at-risk youth; migrants; and other vulnerable groups.

Each season, Un Mar de Posibilidades supports over 350 participants, with hopes of exceeding that number this year thanks to a network of collaborators and volunteers who make their work possible, always with a focus on well-being, personal autonomy, and social integration.

During the event, the Un Mar de Posibilidades team presented Marina Ibiza with a figurine made from fossilized pieces—a symbolic and meaningful gesture in appreciation of the marina’s involvement and unwavering support.
