A total of 460 athletes coming from 56 different countries have taken part at the SUP ICP 2025's World champs, celebrated in Abu Dhabi from October 29th to November 2nd. The championship has left great results for th Spanish selection and, especially, for Mallorcans Aarón Sánchez and Duna Gordillo.

It is a historical event, since it is the first time that the UAE has hosted a ICF's World Championship.
Mallorcan Aarón Sánchez signed an exceptional championship, being crowned as World's Champion in Technical Race, one of the most prestigious titles of the event. In addition, he got silver in Long Diatnce, affirming his role as one of the international referents of the discipline.
The also Mallorcan Duna Gordillo, current's world champion, showed her great level again. Even though this year she had to settle for silver, she achieved two runner-up titles: second in Long Distance and second in Technial Race, consolidating herself as one of the most solid and regular athletes of the circuit.
The Spanish group completed a surpassing performance. Alba Frey added a runner-up title in sprints and two thirs places in open and long distance; Andalusians Antonio Morillo and Fernando Pérez stayed in prominent positions; and athletes such as Santi Canto and Marc Foraster also shone in Master categories, as well as Alexia Soto in the Junior category.
2025's Abu Dhabi's World Champs ends then with a very positive balance for Spain, marked by the the leadership of Aarón Sánchez and Duna Gordillo, that once again places the Spanish SUP at the top of the international scope.
