Ainhoa Gómez has finished tenth in the female classification. In addition, Tim Lubat has also been tenth in the male general, and Nikko Palou has achieved a well-deserved sixth place in the Under17 male category, both from Real Club Náutico de Palma.
The championship has been completed with six races of the qualifying series and others of the final series, with a participation of 140 boys and 81 girls in the competitive ILCA 6 class.
The Spaniards shone since the beginning of the championship in Los Ángeles, if well the final series of the competitiveness of the fleet have been noted. Balearic Tim Lubat, from Real Club Náutico de Palma, has known how to play their cards well no matter the disqualification because of the black flag and some irregular partials. With two put seconds in the qualifying series and a partial triumph in the finals, Mallorcan sailor achieves tenth place in the male overall, after having been crowned in the ILCA 6 Europe Juvenile in Vilamoura (Portugal) last month of April.
In the same classification, the second best Spaniard has been his teammate Nikko Palou, who has finished 28th of the overall and the sixth in the Under17 category. The merit of this athlete of the RCNP is what alternates ILCA 6 class with ILCA 4 class, of which he was crowned second overall Under16 of the World in the World Champs a week ago.
Amongst the female fleet, the representative of the Murcian Region Ainhoa Gómez has been the 10th of the overall. Her box has been very solid during the qualifying series, entering the top ten in all the tests, and in the final series she achieved signing a partial triumph. The second best Spaniard has been Canary Patricia Caballero (RCN Gran Canaria), in the 18th position.
