Los Valencianos Beginners’ Trophy brings together 26 young sailors at Talamanca Beach

A total of 26 young sailors took part in the event held at Talamanca Beach, on a day marked by excellent sailing conditions.

Talamanca Beach hosted a new edition of the Los Valencianos Beginners’ Trophy, organised by Club Náutico Ibiza, an event especially dedicated to young sailors taking their first steps in the exciting world of sailing.

A total of 26 young sailors took part in the event, which once again provided beginner-level students with the opportunity to experience competition and put into practice everything they had learned during the summer courses organised by Club Náutico Ibiza.

The competition took place in ideal sailing conditions, with easterly winds of between 6 and 8 knots, allowing the organisers to successfully complete the scheduled programme.

Following two qualifying rounds, the final race was held, in which the young sailors demonstrated their progress, enthusiasm and determination to continue developing in the sport. All participants successfully completed the course set by the organising committee.

In the Optimist Beginners category, the final standings were:
1st Mario Ruiz
2nd Eva Marí
3rd Izan Mauri

Meanwhile, Dunia Sigiro was crowned winner of the Optimist Under-11 category.

Once racing on the water had concluded, the prize-giving ceremony was held, attended by representatives of Los Valencianos, the event sponsor, together with representatives and organisers from Club Náutico Ibiza.

The day also brought a fitting close to an intense summer season at the Club Náutico Ibiza Sailing School. Over the past few months, a total of 274 students have taken part in the 21 sailing and kayaking courses organised by the club, further consolidating its commitment to promoting water sports among young people.

Club Náutico Ibiza would especially like to thank Los Valencianos for its support, which makes it possible to continue promoting initiatives of this kind aimed at grassroots sport, as well as to recognise the work of the coaches, instructors, support staff and everyone who has contributed to the development of the season.

With this new edition of the Los Valencianos Beginners’ Trophy, Club Náutico Ibiza reaffirms its commitment to training, grassroots sport and the development of new generations of sailors, bringing a successful summer season in the waters of Talamanca to a close.
