Pepequín Orbaneja and his ‘Les Roches Menorca Team’  stood at the doors of the bronze medal in Spain’s J80 Championship, carried out at Real Club Náutico de Valencia, concretely at 7 points. The ship from Club Marítimo de Mahón won a total of 35 points in the 8 races contested, including a second and third place, in a scenery in which there was no lack of World champions and olympians between the first 10 classified.

Orbaneja’s ship has been fighting for the podium during the whole competition, finishing the first day in fifth position, summing up a total of 35 points (5,7,5,6,3,8,2,7) which brought them up to the fourth place. A well deserved result, given that the victory was for the ‘Noticia’, of Luis Martín Cabiedes, the second place for the ‘Dorsia Sailing’, of Nuria Sánchez and the third place was occupied by ‘Solintal’, of Ignacio Camino, with World champions between his crew.

Pepequín Orbaneja and his team are getting prepared for their participation in the Reina’s Cup, also in Valencia, which will take place from June 27th to July 6th, and to which they will arrive after the brilliant bronze achieved in the 2025 J8’ Mediterranean Championship, carried out also in Valencia.
