The presentation event will take place today, Wednesday 29th of April, at 5:00 p.m. at the Jesús Cultural Centre, coinciding with the official closing of the registration period, a key appointment for all organizations interested in taking part in this new edition.

With a track record defined by social commitment, the programme will once again offer an extensive calendar that will benefit more than 300 people from across the island through 171 adapted activities. This edition will involve 22 care centres, including residences, hospitals, day centres, schools and child protection centres, as well as 14 associations dedicated to supporting people with functional diversity, cognitive conditions or those at risk of social exclusion.

One of the programme’s main pillars will continue to be “Gent Gran”, a specific line aimed at combating loneliness among older people, with 13 afternoon activities in which users and carers will be able to share experiences at sea. This initiative is supported by the Consell Insular de Eivissa.

In addition, three sailing trips aboard the Saga vessel have been scheduled for social care groups, alongside the strengthening of massage therapy and flotation activities, areas that have demonstrated significant therapeutic value in previous editions. Improving accessibility will also be a focus, with transport support to facilitate participation.

The programme is built on solid and proven work, endorsed by more than 200 reports from independent professionals, making it a benchmark for social intervention in the nautical field.

Another fundamental pillar is volunteer training. This year, 16 new volunteers will join 14 experienced volunteers in a free course that combines nautical training, including motorboat handling, sailing and kayaking, with care and health-related practice. As part of their commitment, they will complete 36 hours of volunteering within the programme.

“Un Mar de Posibilidades” is supported by all the island’s municipalities, the Balearic Government and organizations such as Marina Ibiza, Fundación Abel Matutes, Valoriza M.A. and CaixaBank, which back this social initiative promoted by Club Náutico Ibiza.

This afternoon’s event will be attended by institutional representatives, sponsors and users from the participating organizations. The day will be enlivened by HipnopiA and Productora Pauxa, and will conclude with an open afternoon snack as a collective celebration.

The board of Club Náutico Ibiza reminds everyone that the registration period closes today, 29th of April, at 5:00 p.m., coinciding with the public event, and invites all interested organizations not to miss the opportunity to be part of a project that shows, year after year, that the sea can also be a space for inclusion and social well-being.
