The iconic cultural space Las Dalias invites residents and visitors to participate in a new edition of the beach cleaning session in Cala Llenya, which will take place next Sunday, September 28th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The activity is settled under the slogan “Less plastic, more posidonia” and aims to create awareness regarding the importance of keeping marine environments clear of waste.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The main goal is reducing plastic pollution in the beaches of Ibiza and protecting posidonia oceanica, a marine plant declared as Humanity Patrimony and considered the lung of the Mediterranean due to its essential role in the coastal ecosystem conservation.
The action will have the collaboration of Sloppy Tunas, a brand pioneering in sustainability that transforms plastic waste collected from the sea into recycled swimsuits. To achieve only one swimsuit, seven plastic bottles are used. The company was founded in 2017 in the Balearic Islands and it integrally produces in the Iberic peninsula, bidding for circular design and mindful fashion.
In addition, the session will specially be thought out for the familiar public. The youngest ones will be able to enjoy an educational animation with ‘Dali’, the puppet of the Las Dalias and the Siren, who will share stories with Susana Paz, creator of the “Los Mundos de Sonrisas” youtube channel, dedicated to the defense of the marine environment.
More than a waste collection, this initiative is thought out as a communitary action that reinforces the compromise with sustainability in Ibiza and boosts the union with neighbourhood purpose: keeping the beaches of Ibiza clean and alive for future generations.
