King Felipe embarks on the ‘Aifos’ to compete in the 43rd Copa del Rey MAPFRE

Palma’s bay is already in regatta mode. This Tuesday, July 29th, the 43rd Copa del Rey MAPFRE competition officially starts with the first races for the ORC fleet.

King Felipe, who had already trained the previous days, arrived this morning to the Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) on time to embark aboard the ‘Aifos’, with which he will compete for the ABANCA ORC 0 title.

At his arrival to the club, Don Felipe was received on foot by car by the admiral Jaime Rodríguez-Toubes and in the main entry, Rafael Gil, RCNP’s president, awaited him.

Then, Don Felipe went to the docks to meet again with the ‘Aifos’ crew, embark and set sail to the regattas area.
